Points and cash is completely gutted. But we all knew it would be as soon as they announced it would be linear.
There used to be some nice so called bargains using all pts, especially cat4 (20-30, in their low season. I used 20k instead of paying $150+, now its a roll of the dice every time = at least for me I wont be using any pts unless rates are simply thru the roof for all the chains and if the new HH max works out in my favor which wont be the case most times, soi it seems in most cases I will have to pony up more pts then I previously had to if I want that so called free night (which is anything but free)

I simply see Hilton now as offering a refund of the $s I spend by giving me back 1/2 cent per $1 spent to be used towards a so called free night or partial free night.

Having dropped Hyatt I came back to Hilton seems my stay will be extremely short, with 20 Stays thus far I will do the remaining 10 to be Diamond then use up the pts and not look back.
