Need to look how it stacks up againist Verizon but it'll likely get me to stay with ATT because I would need to upgrade my phones to go over to Verizon... TMobile is out because network didn't give me adequate coverage at work. The upside is that I signed up for directvnow to get the appletv and would probably keep it with this plan instead of canceling- $10/mo is a steal.

I currently have a grandfathered unlimited data plan on a family plan where my wife has only 2GB of data per month. She hasn't yet exceeded it (but, it is always close). The Unlimited Plus plan would be $5/mo. more than our current set-up (only data/talk/text change would be up-ing her to unlimited data). As a grandfathered unlimited data plan user, I cannot tether.

1) Does the "10GB Mobile Hotspot" mean tethering? Or, does it mean literally a mobile hotspot that I'd have to buy?

My reading is that Unlimited Choice bans tethering but Unlimited Plus does actually include tethering - per the disclosures at the bottom:

Tethering and Mobile Hotspot: Includes up to 10GB per line per month. After 10GB, tethering speed will be slowed to a max of 128Kbps for the rest of the bill cycle (except for these products: Connected Cars, Hot Spots, and Wireless Home Phone and Internet.). Except for those products, all tethering data usage, including sponsored data if tethered, will be impacted and will not be fully functional.
2) With the Unlimited Plus plan, we could take advantage of the new ATT International Day Pass (per post #4 above), right?
