I agree, it is a shame, and it also is the right decision. Look at it this way: Put together Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, and all the lesser known parks in Red Rocks country that are beautiful and totally worth seeing, and you've got
at least two weeks of activity for a future visit. @:-)
