Indeed odd, it may be a system glitch due to his recent status changes. In this case calling would help. Don't be afraid, the EK call centre is nothing like BA from what I hear. If you key in his membership number (and be sure to get the pin from his account dashboard first) the call will be answered immediately. I actually enjoy calling EK because it almost always ends positively.
