IME your account will be reset immediately after the call or within 24hrs maximum. As soon as you hit 600 you should call in. Your HKG>MNL flight will likely credit 1-2 days after which would put you at 600. Before your next flights just check online to confirm your account was reset. If it has been you do not need to worry about removing your MPC number and claiming later.
