Stupid article. At least the example they used is pretty terrible.. why would anyone fly to Stockholm with monarch to fly premium economy to LAX to save £24.

All of the hassle of connecting through LHR, the risk of the monarch flight being delayed and not having any checked luggage...

I've had some amazing deals ex-EU with club world and first but only go for places I actually enjoy staying for a night on the way home (Amsterdam for example) and the savings more than pay for a night on the way home
