Echoing some of the feelings over here. One of my favorite hotels has Standard rewards for 40k points, which I find pretty reasonable. However, I wouldn't be able to pay more than 40k points for the same room.
If they are capping the rooms at what they currently are and then lowering points prices when demand is low, then it's a great change. Otherwise, it creates a huge devaluation on points.
