Hi All,

So, I have an award ticket EWR-CDG-BKK-PER issued by Avianca/Lifemiles, the first flight is United, the next two Thai, and it looks like I will be in New Orleans just before I want to use it...

The question I have is - if I buy a revenue ticket with United (MSY-EWR) would I be able to check in for the whole journey at MSY, and would there be any protection from an issue with the MSY-EWR flight that caused me to miss the onward CDG flight?
