Applied for 1 personal and 1 business card today. Been churning for about 2 years every 3-4 months. Credit score is 820. I have never been approved for less than 16k. I followed my normal process and reduced both credit lines to 2k 6 weeks before reapplying.

The business card was instantly approved for 16k. The personal went to pending. I called reconsideration and was told I could not get it approved because I had 1 Alaska personal card currently open.

I cancelled my personal card today and will likely reapply in 30 days. Seems like a definitely change in the approval process has been implemented.
