Disagree. The attempted seat saving itself is not the problem here. Most would agree that saving a middle seat is not a problem at all. It's the fact that you get greedy (and go for an empty middle) and then try to deceive people, going as far as to have an entire playbook of passive-aggressive (and in some cases actually aggressive) tactics that you use. At least IMHO.
^ Also the fact they save the "better seat". Someone sitting in the aisle/window saving a middle seat is completely fine, someone saving an aisle/window seat or an entire row in the bulkhead or exit row area doesn't get any sympathy and I take those seats no problem.
