Another data point--I tried both of these at the gateline of the Heathrow Terminal 5 underground station this morning:
  • Android Pay with Chase Sapphire Reserve: Did not work
  • Android Pay with SPG AmEx: Did not work

Thus, I reverted to using my trusty Oyster card, which did work.
