Two months ago, I traded in my old car for a new car that included a 2-month free trial. I called to combine accounts and cancel the old subscription. After some back and forth, where the CSR was trying to convince me to decline the free trial and continue my current subscription

, I eventually got the CSR to refund the remainder of my previous subscription ($19.xx), and I would receive a check in the mail. Fine.
On Monday, I got a phone call from SiriusXM informing me that my free trial was about to expire.
CSR: "I can offer you a six-month subscription for $29.99."
Me: "My previous promotion was six months for $24.99. Can you do that?"
CSR (without missing a beat): "I can honor that price."
I now have a calendar entry set for July 20 to renegotiate.
