With which airline are you flying? I find two hours is more than plenty, with even 100 minutes working out well enough often enough for me on my CUN-US flights in the peak winter dates. But a lot of that can be related to which carrier is being flown, which class of service is being flown or being used at least for check-in.
I don't recall any special treatment for families with young kids leaving CUN.
