I already got burned on the way in about a week ago, when I connected through Lisbon and the airport's passport control totally screwed me (plane was late, passport control took over 1:15 and I missed my LIS-VIE and barely made the second one).
Any tips on what I can do to make sure I give myself the best chance of making my connection? Granted, they pad the times and if all goes well, I think I'll be all right, but it feels very close and if the passport control line is a mile long, I'm gonna be in for a rough time.

I have had such connections work rather easily for me at TXL when flying on one ticket all the way. Even with less scheduled time than 85 minutes.
