I'm still looking for J on CX from JFK to HKG on 1/5 or 1/6. Waited until 10:30 AM local time in Hong Kong to see if nee inventory loaded, but there are still no J awards available to AA at all this week. Why not do JL through NRT? It looks like there is availability on 1/6 (and 1/5 if you are willing to downgrade to Y on the NRT-HKG leg). Personally, I prefer JL to CX anyways (unless you really want a nonstop).
