After voicing my dissatisfaction to FPC by email, I received a professional and sincere reply.

I didn't get the Accor Platinum status though. However, it seems I may get the status match in future, based on this information from the email:

"To address your concern that other members had received an offer that you were also entitled to and did not receive; allow me to assure you that great care was taken to ensure that each of our members were provided with the opportunity that they were entitled to within the construct of the campaign."
