It does sometimes happen on HKG-LHR. It's a pleasant surprise to get off BA28 and arrive at passport control expecting to be behind all the BA32 pax, but to find that there's nobody there because BA32 hasn't yet landed. I checked flightradar24 last time to see where we were when we overtook it - somewhere over Russia, IIRC.
