Can anyone comment on their experiences with sixt at fll? How was your experience? How does the shuttle work? Is it a longer process to get the car than with other companies?
Thanks!!
I rented from them at FLL last year. Didn't take the shuttle as I wasn't coming from the airport. After waiting for about 30 minutes they upgraded me one class to a fairly new Cadillac CTS. Car was fine. I had a one week rental. The 2nd day I received an email from Sixt thanking me for the rental and stating that I had turned the car in at MIA. I called and told them that I still had the car. Had to spend about 20 minutes on the phone to get it resolved. When I turned the car in a week later, they had the mileage wrong and claimed that I put 8,000 miles on the car. I wasn't charged since I had unlimited miles. I recently rented from Sixt at PHX and almost walked when the agent gave me a hard core sales pitch on why I needed to purchase their additional insurance. Last time I had such a hard core sales pitch it was from Alamo around 20 years ago and I haven't been back to Alamo since. I've rented from Sixt twice now in the US. Have been very happy with Sixt in Germany. Not crazy about the US. Nice cars but service is lacking with both of my rentals.
