You don't have to fly with Agean at all to earn status but the mileage required is double - so 24,000 to reach Silver and a further 48,000 to reach Gold.

As for SASPlus, this is one of the better earning opportunities with A3. As far as I have seen, all SASPlus fares earn 200% so ARN-LAX should earn around 11,000 miles each way.
