Was the lounge open for breakfast? If so, I wonder why the hotel gave you breakfast vouchers instead of directing you to the lounge? (In the US, it's rare for Hilton family hotels to allow breakfast in the hotel restaurant for Golds/Diamonds if there is a lounge open.)
