As you will be starting from zero you would need to first become silver and then gold. It's not very well explained on the website - you need 12.000 miles + 2 A3 flights for silver. Once you are silver, you reach gold with another 24.000 miles + 4 A3 flights.
In total that means 36.000 miles + 6 A3 flights. Compared to LH M&M there are no fixed calendar years so your qualification year for gold starts once you become silver.
The segments can be in any class on A3 - GoLight, Flex or Business.
