This first thread I'm linking already has a wiki - so maybe the other threads could be merged into it and it be made a sticky?

The thread with the wiki post you mention was created by JDiver in 2014 when he was a Senior Moderator by merging several threads/posts. He also started the wiki post for the merged FCO (connection) thread.

I can certainly merge more threads/posts with this one but wonder how useful such a thread might be. What to do in Rome during a layover may not have changed over the years but what one can do during a 4 hour layover is quite different from what is possible during a 24 hour layover.

In some forums I'm familiar with (ZRH layover in the LX forum, FRA layover in the Germany forum) there hasn't been any attempt to merge 'x hour layover' threads. When someone asks what to do during a layover others respond with a list of existing threads depending on the length of layover.

Something to consider before going ahead with a merged thread.
