In the event I have to claim/recheck in HKG, does the entire party have to show? We are a party of four, guessing 5-7 bags in total, flying F and J with OWE status for me. I'd much rather send my wife and kids to the Pier (J side, until I arrive to rescue them and bring the clan to F).

My concern is if I show at the ticket counter with 7 bags, they may say something like "everyone in your party has to be here". Which would suck.

Any experience with this?
