There are digital coupons that essentially take off all the activation fees for $25/50/100 fixed-price Amex GC's ($3.95/4.95/5.95 off), I bought one of each today and paid a grand total of $175
PLUS I got 4x fuel points, i.e. a total of 760 pts - NOT only 700 points as for some reason you also get the 4x points on the $14.85 in fees that are taken off by the digital coupons.
So you basically get 760 fuel points - which I value at $26.60 since I always get the maximum allowed 35 gallons of gas - for free.
