Hoping someone has clarity on this question for me.
I am looking at a flight to ORD-ICN in January. The flight has a connection in SFO. I want to apply a GPU to an eligible fare. When I search just the SFO-ICN part I see there is R space available. Though when I search the ORD-ICN with connection the R space becomes 0. I'm assuming this is because the ORD-SFO segment doesn't have R space. If I book this, will the SFO-ICN segment clear even though the initial booking is showing 0 in R unless I search the segment separately (assuming because it's married)?
