HHonors Reservations desk is forwarding calls to Hilton Select for 500 bonus points
At the end of a call to HHonors Reservations Line, I was offered 500 Bonus points as a Gold member if I were "willing to listen to info about a new award program with Hilton".
It ended up being a sales pitch for the "Hilton Select" program.
Guy was a pretty good salesperson, but having read this thread before, I knew it wasn't going to be worthwhile.
After I declined the offer, he dropped the price from $399 to $259 the first year, proffered a $100 Hilton credit for a recently completed stay, and "a 2 night stay at a Hilton property in Orlando".
I still passed, but happily accepted the 500 points.
