Back I'm 2009 when jetBlue was entering the LAX-BOS market, AA was offering triple miles on that route AND matching B6's intro fares of about $179 round-trip. So PLT's and EXP's could get 4X miles. I believe they were also giving double EQM back then as in May 2009 I did ten runs LAX-BOS and reached EXP. Plus I earned over 200,000 RDM, all for around $2,000. Eight trips were turnarounds but twice I actually visited. It was quite a month!
