Maybe not -- I might have just forgotten. It's tough to get old.

IIRC, I booked one room for 4 days and one room for 2 days in the same hotel as I had family joining me for the weekend. I think I was supposed to qualify for gold on the first of those stays, but for some reason, SPG decided to give it to me early. I do remember being pleasantly surprised to get the email as it was my first year as Gold. And those were also my last SPG stays of the year, so one more stay would not have mattered anyway -- no difference between 10 and 11 stays when earning status.

I really am going to miss this program, even though I am mostly qualifying on nights now.
