I've sometimes had success in asking the front desk in advance to please add the restaurant charge to my room bill, but attempting to do this can add errors and confusion too. If the hotel doesn't need your room, they can be happy to grant an extremely late checkout if you're continuing to,spend money at the property. This also avoids needing to store luggage during dinner or whatever.
