If you are able to enter T2 - and it appears per post #4 that you should be, then you will have no problem exiting T2. There's no special area (unlike if you were arriving internationally), just follow the signs to exit from the terminal which should be near the security checkpoint.
Just make sure to leave yourself plenty of time to clear security at TBIT.
