Now with this new policy, eligible Silver Medallions might get some of those seats, travelling on award tickets to some of these vacation destinations; not competing with business flyers.
This. I was always discouraged to book award tickets to/from the caribbean because there were always available seats but as a FO I was unable to get upgraded. Too bad this policy came out only after I became Gold
