I hadn't even thought about that, but now that you mention it...I don't quite understand the local fascination with microwaved pork and beans, but it is indeed an institution. My kids love them.

It's really hard to beat good old Bush's Original in the can. I've had very few scratch made that were as good or better.
I thought mine were very, very good and I've been eating them for three days straight. Too spicy for the rest of the family, though. I can't possibly remember what Smokehouse's beans tasted like, but I do like this recipe.
