good point about TPE. I was thinking this same thought the other day en route to TPE crammed in the back. 5 CP is effectively equivalent to the old 501 elite miles for that route under the old system, aka 501/120,000 = 0.42% of the way to DM, virtually the same as 5/120 CP.

PVG got increased from 779 elite miles (0.65% of the way to DM) to 10 CP (0.83% of the way to DM). Wheres PEK got slightly decreased (1237/120,000 to 10/120).
For ultra-short / short haul flyers, it was the sector that matters. 10 HKG - TPE return trip in V was enough to make SL, now 30 return trip is required.
