yea, it clearly benefits J class fliers. That's for sure. It is now much more rewarding to fly biz class regionally. Meanwhile, there is a slight (and long awaited) improvement for those flying J and C anywhere, versus before these didn't get you extra. Meanwhile, D and I long-haul from (presumably cheaper) outports aren't "punished', they earn roughly the same. No matter how you slice it CX has really adjusted the program where you need to be flying in J or F to get the benefits. But if that's your pattern anyway, the MPC changes were a net win.
Meanwhile, Y and PEY definitely lost out. No matter the fare classes being paid really. Sure, higher fare Y and PEY give you more, but it's not nearly enough to make up for what was lost. Effectively Y and PEY flyers got gutted.
