I send a nice email to the hotel before to advise of very early arrival.

I have many different outcomes..... had them give me a room at 8:00am, had them give me breakfast at 8:00am, and also had them tell me to come back at check in time.

All depends on their capacity, possibly your status, if you are flexible about rooms and if you are lucky!!
