So I called Sirius yesterday...

Me: "I'd like to cancel my account."
CSR: "May I ask why?"
Me: "My promotional rate is about to expire, and I will not renew unless I get the same promotional rate."
CSR: "Great! I'll be glad to help. I can offer you 12 months of pre-paid service for a discounted price of $99.99."
Me: "Um, no."
CSR: "Okay. How about 6 months of service at a discounted price of $49.99?"
Me: "I do not accept that offer."
(brief pause)
CSR: "Okay. I am authorized to offer you the same promotional rate of 6 months for $24.99. Is that okay?"
Me: (sigh) "Yes."

The whole call took 8m44s.
