Our DFW-MAD on April 22nd has the option to select PE seats.
I don't think AA will start selling W with just six 787-9s in fleet. The remaining eight 787-9s scheduled for 2017 will be delivered from May 2017 onward. It's possible an equipment switch may happen in May. Starting later this month, AA will have four 777s at HAECO undergoing CIP, drastically accelerating the CIP in order to finish by the end of next summer. Long term, I'd be very surprised if AA uses the 787-9 on routes such as DFW-MAD, which are much better for DFW-PVG due to the range, whereas the 772s will be doing mostly TATL/Deep South America runs.
