YMMV but an acquaintance of mine called Sirius to say that she had sold the car (true - although it was a lease return), and didn't need service anymore. The company put her balance on account. About a week later she called back to say she bought a used car without Sirius (not entirely true, she did buy a used car with an inactive XM radio), and wanted a refund. The rep tried to sell her a home/portable unit for as little as $30, but she declined, and a refund was processed back to her credit card, without any other hassle from the company.
