The Grand is as much as ever a case of "you are your rate" when it comes to room assignment, with some exceptions. The service is still about what it's been for many years, but it's at par or better than the rest of the hotels in the city.

Unless it's for particular outside-of-room activities or location-based reasons, I am rather agnostic about which hotel amongst a collection of 7-10 I should use in Stockholm -- even as a stay at the Grand is about as grand as it can get in Stockholm.
