Called today to waive the fee on the Aviator Red, hoping for the 5k miles for $1000 spend. While I was going through the automated intro to get to a representative, I was given an offer for 1.5x spend for the next few months. I thought, "Why not?" and pressed a button to accept. Eventually got to a representative who willingly waived the annual fee, but when pressed she could not find an offer for any bonus points for additional spending. She mentioned that I already receive 1.5x points on spending. I am assuming that accepting this offer took the better offers off the table.
