I still spend 15-20 nights a year here. Same things apply as before on my above posts...For better or worse, the hotel hasn't changed much. The décor is indeed growing tired, but the beds are typical Hilton (comfy), bathrooms are nice, breakfast in the restaurant is still a bit above average, evening lounge food is hot and plentiful, and as a Diamond, I haven't stayed in a anything less than a 1-bedroom suite EVERY time I've been there.
I'm not one of venturing out for food in China, but Lancun Road dead ends into the hotel. There are lots of restaurants and bars on that street, but I cannot offer much feedback on specifics. I just pass by them as I walk to the subway (Lancun Road Station, about a half-mile away).
It is indeed convenient to the Maglev.
