I asked Mrs Clint to pick up a couple of strong Belgian beers last night with our Friday night takeaway.

O'Hara's Hop Adventure
St Austell's Proper Job

Amazingly the Proper Job claimed on its label to be a Champion Bottled Beer of Britain. It was truly awful. Not because it was Powerfully Hopped as it also said on the label but because it lacked any subtlety and taste.Really dreadful.

Pabst Blue Ribbon is named so because it had won some awards.

The palmares for beers is like those for photographers or lawyers....there's a million fictitious awards so everybody gets a prize.
