depends how long your overnight is. I was just in SJU and found that the distance from the airport to the hotels in tourist areas (like isla verde or condado) is pretty short. I had a car, but really, it was soemthing like a 5 minute drive from isla verde and a 10 minute from condado (except in rush hour). I don't think there is a hotel at the airport itself.
