Anyone know what has been going on with AA164, the 8:30am SFO-JFK departure? Of the past 13 flights, only 5 have been on time or close to it. The others have been delayed by 3-5 hours.

On some or most days when the flight is delayed, it has waited for the frame from the first AM flight of the day into SFO (either AA9 or AA15), instead of using a frame that has RON'd. Some guy (@AirlineFlyer) has been tweeting that the BOS utilization flights that the A321Ts fly routinely get delayed, resulting in knock-on delays for the westbound transcons--could this be related?
