Tuesday used a coupon to try Bobby Q's after a group of us got wittled down to two. Kinda recall that we had a BBQ topic and found it! Also found Sweet Willie has a review of this restaurant (after having dinner).

Walking in was enjoyable, if not the best part of the dining experience. The BBQ scent reminded me how much I enjoy BBQ. Both my friend and myself were quite hungry and the scent made us want to order everything on the menu right away. We got seated and managed to put off dinner for a while to enjoy a brew. They brought out the bottles with a very ice cold glass which made the beer better.

We decided to split two dinners... BBQ pork and the ribs. The pork was quite enjoyable and will order it again. The ribs were ok, but not on the level of my current favorite--(Johnny's on Lake and Milwaukee).

Most interesting item was a side--baked beans. Can't remember the last time I ordered them. What a nice change of pace. The beans had a great spicey kick. The best I've ever had. My friend, who does not like spicey food also ordered the beans and enjoyed them. The accompanying cole slaw was excellent.

We had an enjoyable time and will do it again. Would not suggest traveling a long distance, but if your in the area (Rand and Old Willow - in the Dominick's shopping center) its a great change of pace.
