Which why my passport and wallet (and cell phone) are in my pocket for takeoff and landing @:-). Clothes and just about anything in my overhead bin bag/underseat bag/checked luggage are easy to replace, and anything important on my laptop would be backed up. I'm fortunate to have had 372 smooth takeoffs and 372 smooth landings, but best to be prepared as though one won't go as smooth eventually one of these days.
