I think the place you are thinking of is "N N Smokehouse" which moved further down Irving Park (around 3600) and I think may have now closed. Although a new BBQ place went in in it's old location at Ashland. I've never been, but I glance over every time I drive by and it's never busy (so I'm guessing it can't be that good! :-) )
