I forgot that AC started premium economy. How is it?

Havent seen a true Biz seat on OS in a very long while and Ive flown them in Biz at least between TLV/BRU, and otherwise its teh same hard seat as LX has US/BRU. The good thing its a 777 out of ORD I refuse to fly out of IAD/JFK/EWR where OS uses a 767
I've seen a mix between narrow-body but also 767 VIE-TLV with true C

LX seat I find is hard like a rock in Biz as is OSs, and LX in Y doesnt allow you to pick a seat unless you pay for it. My last LX flight in Y from ZRH-TLV I stood 95% of the way, my return got lucky in getting the bulkhead but it was Yom Tov Shani
I also find their seats hard, in both C and Y. But their C seat is a nice suite.

I usually fly UA in Y in Prem economy in an aisle seat in the middle section and find its OK and enough extra leg room being 6'2". Lifetime status gets it for $0
I fly Economy Plus as well but that's not a true premium economy. It's just some (barely) extra legroom. No difference in seat otherwise and no difference in service

Sure, no problem!

First, I recommend checking out the FlyerTalk Glossary.

LX = SWISS International Airlines
LH = Lufthansa
LY = EL AL
OS = Austrian Airlines

C = code to refer to Business Class
F = First Class
Y = Economy Class
Y+ = Premium Economy
E+ (in reference to UA) = Economy Plus

*A = Star Alliance

Thanks for your reply as well. What do you mean by "using a co-pay and miles"? I was thinking along the lines of paying for standard economy and using United miles to upgrade on another Star Alliance partner (not UA). Is that not doable?
To upgrade on UA requires miles and a co-pay. The miles are standard but the co-pay is determined based on what fare class your ticket is. More info in the UA board. The EWR-TLV flight is notoriously hard to upgrade

I wouldn't be all that particular about the shorter leg if it were a short enough flight -- Like less than 4 hours.
ORD-EWR/YYZ is short enough then

Yes, I admit that my questions are a bit simplistic to experienced travelers. Thanks for your anticipated patience!
No such thing as "too simplistic!" Happy travels!
