I believe the cutting AC access is mainly due to Barclays' re-entering to the competition, not AA.

In other word, there should be a Barclays' card for AC access introduced in 2017.

Many airports are either currently under renovation or planning to renovate. New spaces can be usually found as a result.

The issue is there is no time, as it takes years to do so.
