Welcome to Flyertalk. If your entire trip was booked as a single ticket, then shouldn't have to claim and recheck your luggage. If it was booked as two separate tickets (roundtrip Alicante - Gatwick, and a separate roundtrip from Gatwick to Orlando), you might have to recheck your luggage, particularly if you're traveling on two unrelated carriers.
